My Lockdown Book Haul!

Hi everyone today I am sharing a post that I have wanted to write for a while and that is my lockdown book haul! If I have added my purchases up correctly then I think I have acquired 31 books since the end of March!! The books included in my post today are all ones that I have purchased myself so arcs or books I have been sent to review are not included. I am going to organise my haul into sections as well so the list has some sort of structure! So let’s get straight into the haul as we have a lot to cover!!

Waterstones orders:

These books are all ones that I either ordered from the Waterstones website or picked up in store when it reopened after lockdown!

Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo

Read? Yes I read this book towards the beginning of lockdown and my review of this book was the first post of my relaunched blog which you can check out here!

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

The two lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver

Read? Yes and this was another book that was a good read.

Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty

Read? Yes and I did like this book but it wasn’t as brilliant as I thought it was going to be. I’ve definitely read better thrillers than this one so I was slightly disappointed. I did find it hard to pick up as well as I wasn’t completely enthralled in the plot as I was craving.

Phew we made it to the end of this list! Despite not having read the majority of these books I counted and I have actually read a whooping 72 books since we initially locked down at the end of March which I think is super impressive regardless and I am sure I will get round to most of these very soon!

Thank you for reading as always and remember to keep amplifying black voices, signing petitions and educating yourself as even though the media has gone silent the movement is still fighting strong #BlackLivesMatter

Love and light,
